Election Results of year 2024

Results of the 2024 Lok Sabha Election: Counting day brought a lot of surprises, which contrasted sharply with the projections of exit polls. The Congress appears to have made a remarkable comeback, slowing down the BJP’s all-conquering 10-year power trip and leading the opposition INDIA bloc to a respectable total. The BJP-led NDA had approximately 90 seats when the vote counts were announced the following day, while the INDIA bloc had approximately 235 seats.

The NDA currently has significantly more seats than necessary to comfortably form a government. The situation has not yet become fully clear, despite the fact that well over two-thirds of the vote counting has been completed; as a result, smaller dispensations have approached one another to determine the probabilities of combinations.

Details about the counting day On June 4, at 8 a.m., the count of votes for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 began. The trends that began to emerge around midday remained roughly until late afternoon, despite some initial fluctuations.

The official final result is expected to be announced by the Election Commission either late on June 4 or early on June 5. On June 16, 2024, the 17th Lok Sabha is scheduled to end its term.

The BJP-led NDA government became India’s first non-Congress administration to return to power in 2019 thanks to a massive saffron surge. Narendra Modi is the third Prime Minister after Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi to retain power with a majority. The BJP won 303 seats, surpassing the previous record set by the NDA, which won 350 out of 542 seats. In West Bengal, the BJP made significant gains and defeated the BSP-SP alliance in Uttar Pradesh. The Hindi heartland, Gujarat, West Bengal, Odisha, Maharashtra, and Karnataka were dominated by the saffron wave. Only Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh were largely unaffected. The Telangana Rashtra Semite lost four seats to the BJP, which surprised everyone. A remarkable achievement in Indian electoral history was the BJP’s vote share exceeding 50% in states like Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Haryana.

Elections for the Arunachal Pradesh Assembly in 2024: On Sunday, the BJP won Arunachal Pradesh for the third time in a row, securing a majority and 46 seats in the 60-member assembly. In Arunachal, the BJP won 10 seats without opposition. Today, June 2, at 6 a.m., the Arunachal Pradesh Assembly elections’ vote counting began. On April 19, the north eastern state participated in both the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections simultaneously. 31 seats make up the Assembly’s 60-seat majority. Elections for Sikkim Assembly in 2024: On Sunday, the Himalayan state’s Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) won 31 out of 32 assembly seats to win a second term. On April 19, the first phase of the elections for the Lok Sabha took place simultaneously with the elections for the assembly.
