Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant Pay Scale:
The ICG Assistant Commandant (Level 10), Starting Basic Pay of ₹ 56,100/- per month.
Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant Eligibility Criteria:
(1). Candidate with an Engineering degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical, Marine, Automotive, Mechatronics, Industrial and Production, Metallurgy, Design, Aeronautical, Aerospace, Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, Instrumentation and Control, Electronics and Communication, Power Engineering, or Power Electronics from a recognized university.
(2). Candidate with a 03 years degree in any non-technical subject from a recognized university (General Duty only).
Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant Age Limit:
- 21-25 years as of 01 July 2025, i.e., born between 01 July 2000 and 30 June 2004 (both dates inclusive).
- Age Relaxation: 5 years for personnel serving in the Coast Guard or equivalent personnel in the Army, Navy, or Air Force.
Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant Selection Process:
The selection of ICG Assistant Commandants is based on an all-India merit list, determined by candidates’ performance in various stages (I-V) of the examination process:
Stage I: Coast Guard Common Admission Test (CGCAT)
Stage II: Preliminary Selection Board (PSB)
Stage III: Final Selection Board (FSB)
Stage IV: Medical Examination
Stage V: Induction
Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant Medical Standards:
Medical examination will be conducted by authorized Military Doctors as per medical standard prescribed in current regulations applicable to Enrolled Personnel on entry.
Height: Minimum height is 157 cms. Reduction in height for candidates from hilly areas and tribal areas will be in accordance with the Central Govt. orders.
Chest: Should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion 5 cms.
Weight: Proportionate to height and age +- 10 percentage acceptable.
Hearing: Normal.
Visual Standards.
Tattoo: Permanent body tattoos are not permitted on any part of the body.
Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant Examination Fee:
1. ₹ 300/- for General / OBC category candidates.
2. No fee for SC / ST category candidates.
3. The fee made through online mode by using net banking or by using Visa/ Master/ Maestro/ Rupay Credit/ Debit Card/ UPI.

How to Apply Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant Recruitment 2024:
- Eligible candidates may apply online for ICG Recruitment 2024 only through Indian Coast Guard official website (joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in) from 5th December 2024.
- The candidates will be required to upload documents in two phases. Few documents (Photograph, Signature, Left Hand Thumb Impression Image, DoB Proof, Identity Proof etc.) are required at the online application stage and few are required to be uploaded if shortlisted for Stage II.
- The last date for registration of online applications is 24/12/2024 up to 5:30 PM.
