RRB Ministerial and Isolated Categories Eligibility Criteria:

Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of India.

Educational Qualifications:

Teacher Posts: Graduate / Post Graduate in relevant subjects. B.Ed. / M.Ed. / Diploma in Education.
Junior Translator: A Master’s degree in Hindi or English with English or Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level.

Other Posts: 10th 12th / Diploma / Degree, Qualification differ for each post.
Chief Law Assistant: A degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.

Age Limit: Generally, candidates should be between 18 and 30 years old. Age relaxations apply for reserved categories as per government rules.

RRB Ministerial and Isolated Categories Age Limit:

For Indian Railway Ministerial and Isolated posts age limit is minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years for most of the posts.
For Junior Translator, Staff and Welfare Inspector, Senior Publicity Inspector, Publicity Inspector, and Photographer roles, candidates aged 18 to 33 years are eligible.
For Chief Law Assistant positions consider applicants aged 18 to 40 years.
For Candidates aged 20 to 35 can apply for the Finger Print Examiner role.
For PGTs and TGTs roles accept applicants aged 18 to 45 years.

RRB Ministerial and Isolated Categories Salary:

The salary for RRB Ministerial and Isolated Categories in the Indian Railways varies based on the specific post and level as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC). Below is a general overview of the salary structure for some common positions within this category:-

Stenographer: ₹ 37,000 – ₹ 41,000 (including allowances)
Junior Translator: ₹ 49,000 – ₹ 54,000 (including allowances)

Chief Law Assistant: ₹ 49,000 – ₹ 54,000 (including allowances)
Other Ministerial Posts (e.g., Clerk, Typist): ₹ 28,000 – ₹ 41,000 (including allowances)

RRB Ministerial and Isolated Categories Selection Process:

  • Documents Verification (DV)
  • Stenography Skill Test (as applicable)
  • Single Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • Performance Test/ Teaching Skill Test, Translation Test (as applicable)
  • Medical Examination.

RRB Ministerial and Isolated Categories Exam Pattern

The Question Paper for Single Stage CBT will be of 90 minutes duration for 100 questions and 120 minutes for PwBD candidates who are availing the Scribe facility. The Question Papers shall be of objective multiple-choice type.

How to Apply RRB Ministerial and Isolated Categories Recruitment 2024

  • Candidates should apply for the Railway Ministerial and Isolated Categories 2025 through RRB Apply online portal www.rrbapply.gov.in/. They are required to fill out and submit the online application form through the official websites of the respective RRBs/RRCs on the specified open date.
  • It is advised that candidates keep their personal mobile number and valid email ID active throughout the recruitment process, as all communications from RRBs/RRCs will be sent only through SMS or email.
  • Verify your email ID and mobile number through OTP.
  • Upload photocopies of a recent photograph, signature, and proof of required documents/certificates.
  • When registering, select the specific Railway for which you intend to apply. The choice made during the online application process is final, and no requests for changes will be entertained.
  • Enter registration details, including your name, date of birth, father’s name, mother’s name, Aadhaar number, SSLC/Matric registration number, year of passing, mobile number, and email ID. Submit the registration information.
  • Pay the application fee and submit your online application before the closing date (06/02/2025).
