The Odisha Subordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) invites online applications from eligible candidates for filling up of 2829 District Cadre posts of Teachers in TGT (Arts), TGT (Science – PCM), TGT (Science – CBZ), Sanskrit Teacher, Physical Education Teacher (PET), Tribal Language Teacher, Hindi Teacher and Sevak / Sevika in Government Schools under SC & ST Development, M & BCW Department. The OSSSC Teacher Recruitment 2025 Online Registration will be available in the web portal of the Commission (www.osssc.gov.in). The last date for registration of online applications is 22nd January 2025.

OSSSC Teacher Eligibility Criteria:

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

• Hindi Teacher: Bachelor’s Degree with Hindi as one of the elective / optional / pass / honours subject. Hindi Training Qualification – Hindi Shikshan Parangat or B.H.Ed. Or B.Ed. in Hindi or B.Ed.
• Sevak / Sevika: Matric with 12th class Pass with Arts / Science / Commerce or its equivalent examination with C.T. / D.I.E.T training and Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) Pass (either Paper I or Paper II or both).
• Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT): Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline _ Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) / 03 years Integrated B.Ed. – M.Ed. / 02 year B.Ed. (Special Education).
• Physical Education Teacher (PET): +2 Passed or its equivalent examination + C.P.Ed. / D.P.Ed. / B.P.Ed. / M.P.Ed. The candidate must have passed Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET).
• Sanskrit Teacher: Bachelor’s Degree with Sanskrit as one of the electives / Optional / Pass / Honours subject + B.Ed. (OR) Shastri (Sanskrit) and Shiksha Shastri (Sanskrit) + B.Ed./
• Tribal Language Teacher: 12th Class Pass in Arts / Science / Commerce or its equivalent examination with C.T. / D.I.E.T training and Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) Pass (Paper-I).

Other Eligibility:

A Candidate must be able to speak, read and write Odia and have passed the Middle School Examination with Odia as a language subject or Passed Matric or equivalent exam with Odia as the medium of examination in non-language subjects or passed in Odia as language subject in the final exam of Class VII or equivalent exam or Passed a test in Odia in Middle English School Standard.

OSSSC Teacher Age Limit:

• Minimum 21 years and Maximum 38 years as on 1st January 2024.
• Age relaxation as per Odisha Govt rules.

  Sevak / Sevika: ₹ 23600 – 74800/- (Pay Matrix Level 06, Cell 01)
