Symptoms: Back pain is mostly in the middle or lower part. Pain in the lower part of the back is also called lower spondylitis.
Causes: Lack of correct posture while getting up, sitting, lying down or walking, wearing high heel slippers or shoes, lazy life, menstrual problems, lack of nutrients, muscle weakness, obesity, spinal disorder, lack of rest and exercise, arthritis, hollowness of bones or other diseases, sleeping on a very soft or cushioned bed, lifting heavy things or any injury, consumption of excessive medicines.
Treatment: Take fruits, salad, sprouts etc. in the diet. Do not take liquid diet, oily fried food, curd, sugar, chilli spices, tea and coffee. Take calcium, Vitamin C or Vitamin D rich food, the best for this is sesame milk. Drink at least 2 to 5 litres of water daily, take sun bath and drink sun heated white bottled water, in case of severe pain, do ice massage, mud bandage on stomach, enema, steam bath, hot and cold compress on waist, complete rest, spine should remain straight and flexible, do backward bending asanas like Bhujangasana, Dhanurasana, etc. Do not do any forward bending exercise.
