UPSC CSE Recruitment 2025 Notification: 979 Vacancies, Online Application Form

On January 22, 2025, UPSC CSE Notification 2025 was made public for the examination of 979 positions. The Civil Services Examination (CSPE) 2025 Examination Notification has been released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). On May 25, 2025, UPSC will hold the preliminary examination for the Civil Services Exam, which will be used to fill a total of 861 vacancies (approximately) in various government services and posts. The last date for online registration of UPSC CSE Exam 2025 applications is 11th February 2025.

UPSC Civil Service 2025 Qualifications:

• The candidate must hold a Degree of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification.

UPSC Civil Service Exam 2025 Plans:

The Civil Services Examination will consist of two successive stages:-

• Personality Test / Interview
• Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective type)
• Civil Services (Main) Examination

UPSC Civil Service Age Limit 2025:

• Age Relaxation: 05 Years for SC / ST, 03 Years for OBC and Deference Services Personnel, 05 Years –
• If a candidate had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from the 1st January 1980 to the 31st December 1989, 05 Years for Ex-Serviceman and 10 Years for Physically Handicapped Candidates.
• 21 to 32 years on the 1st August 2025 [i.e., he must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1993 and not later than 1st August, 2004.].

UPSC Civil Service Preliminary Exam Pattern 2025:

1. The question papers will be set both in Hindi and English.
2. Both the question papers will be of the objective type (multiple choice questions) and each will be of two hours duration.
3. The General Studies Paper-II of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination will be a qualifying paper with minimum qualifying marks fixed at 33%.

UPSC Civil Service Application Fee 2025:

• The payment can be made either by remitting the money in any Branch of SBI by Cash, or by using Net Banking facility of any bank or by using Visa/ Master/ RuPay/ Credit/ Debit Card/ UPI Payment.
• Rs.100/- for General and OBC Category Candidates; The fee excepting Female/ SC / ST / PH Candidates.

How to Apply UPSC CSE Recruitment 2025:

• Eligible candidates are required to apply online using the website upsconline.nic.in.
• Candidates must first register themselves at the One Time Registration (OTR) platform, available on the UPSC Commission’s website, before proceeding to fill out the online application for the examination.
• The candidates should upload recent Photograph, Signature and Photo-copies of relevant documents / certificates.
• The OTR registration needs to be completed only once in a lifetime and can be done at any time throughout the year.
• The last date for the receipt of online applications for the Civil Services Examination 2025 is 11/02/2025 till 6:00 PM.
